China’s Hainan Island is now visa-free for Philippines and other 58 countries in an effort to support a policy to open up the tourist island to the public.
The Ministry of Public Security of China and the State Immigration Administraton announced on Wednesday, April 18, that the offer will last for 30 days starting May 1.
Individuals and groups from 59 countries may avail the deal as long as their tours are booked through China National Tourism Administration-approved travel agencies around the island also known as “Hawaii of China”.
