Patuloy na makakaranas ng makulimlim na panahon at may mga biglaang pag-ulan ang Eastern Visayas at Mindanao dahil sa extension ng isang low pressure area (LPA) na nasa labas ng Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

Ayon kay Pagasa forecaster Ariel Rojas, namataan ang namumuong sama ng panahon sa layong 2,270 kilometro sa silangan ng Mindanao.

Free wifi, malinis na banyo at breast feeding stations sa transport terminals, isa ng batas

Sa bagong batas na pinirmahan ni Pang. Rodrigo Duterte ay kinakailangan ng magkaroon ng malinis na banyo, libreng internet access at breastfeeding station sa mga terminals sa bansa.

Sa mga terminal at operator na lalabag sa batas na ito, kinakailangan nilang magbayad ng P5,000 sa bawat araw na hindi naisasaayos ang kanilang terminal. Sa mga maniningil naman sa paggamit ng banyo, karagdagang P5,000 ulit ang sisingilin sa bawat araw na ginagawa nila ito.

Hiling daw ng panganay na anak ni Manny Pacquaio na si Jimuel ang pagreretiro nito mula sa boxing at ituon na lamang ang oras at atensyon sa pulitika at kanilang pamilya.

Pinawi ni Sen. Minority Leader Franklin Drilon ang pangamba ng ilan sa ikinakasang National ID System ng gobyerno.

“The law has enough safeguards to protect the sanctity of the individual’s information and protect their right to privacy. It protects against unlawful disclosure of information and punishes those who will subvert the system for unlawful ends,” saad ng principal author ng Philippine Identification System Act na si Drilon.

Barko ng Pilipinas, pinalubog ng China sa WPS

MANILA, Philippines – Isang Filipino fishing vessel ang lumubog makaraang makabanggaan ang isang Chinese fishing vessel malapit sa Recto Bank sa pinag-aagawang teritoryo sa West Philippine Sea.

Sinabi ni Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, nakabanggaan ng F/B Glimver 1 ang Chinese fishing vessel sa lugar na iniulat ng isang mangingisda kahapon bagaman nangyari ito noong Hunyo 9, 2019.

TNVS na deactivated, maaaring mag-aplay ulit ng prangkisa – DOTr

Pinag-aaplay na lamang muli ng prangkisa ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Land Transportation and Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang mga driver ng Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS), na naapektuhan ng deactivation.

Ito’y kasunod ng reklamo ng TNVS sector na may 8,000 drivers nila ang apektado ng deactivation ng prangkisa.

Despite afternoon rains, water level in Angat Dam dips further

According to the state weather bureau, PAGASA, as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday (June 13) water level in Angat Dam hit 164.02 meters, still lower than its minimum operating level of 180 meters.

“Iyung mga pag-ulan na nararanasan natin dito sa Metro Manila, sa ngayon po, hindi nakakarating pa sa Angat Watershed,”said National Water Resources Board Executive Director Sevillo David.

The lowest water level in Angat Dam was recorded in July 2010 when water reserve dipped further to 157.56 meters.

Briones clarifies: I’m not against teachers’ salary increase

PUB to deploy Singapore’s first large-scale floating solar panel system by 2021

National water agency PUB said in a press release on Thursday, June 6 that it intends to deploy a 50 megawatt-peak (MWp) floating solar photovoltaic (PV) system on Tengeh Reservoir by 2021.

According to PUB, the floating Tengeh system will eliminate the need to emit 28,000 tons of carbon dioxide every year that it is in operation – the equivalent to removing 6,000 cars off Singapore’s roads.
